Dr. Kirk Heyne is a gastrointestinal medical and transplant oncologist who takes care of patients with upper and lower GI tract malignancies in addition to pancreatic, liver, and bile duct cancers. Dr. Heyne has published peer-reviewed articles on hepatocellular carcinoma and resectable pancreatic cancer. His current research is focused on hepatocellular carcinoma and patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors.
Sudha Kodali, MD, MSPH
Transplant Hepatology

Dr. Sudha Kodali is a transplant hepatologist with special interest in liver cancer, alcoholic liver disease, and liver transplantation for alcoholic hepatitis and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Dr. Kodali focuses on a multidisciplinary approach, working closely with transplant surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and psychiatrists. She conducts a weekly clinic for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma at the Houston Methodist Sherrie and Alan Conover Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation. Dr. Kodali is an active member of Business Practices Committee and collaborates closely with colleagues at MD Anderson Cancer Center, participating in their multidisciplinary tumor board that meets weekly to assess patients for transplant candidacy.
Robert McMillan, MD, MPH

Dr. Robert McMillan is a multi-organ abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon with special interest in the surgical treatment of liver and bile duct cancers. Dr. McMillan’s clinical research focuses on liver transplantation for hepatocellular cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, and non-resectable liver metastases from colorectal cancer.
