At Houston Methodist, we treat artists and their unique needs, while bringing the same level of specialized care to every patient we serve. An Artist Card is available to performers who register with the Center for Performing Arts Medicine by filling out a free online application. This registration ensures that members of the performing and visual arts community are identified as artists when seeking health care services at Houston Methodist. When a registered artist calls the CPAM appointment line, they are supported by a CPAM patient liaison who begins the process of matching the artists health care needs with the Houston Methodist physician, therapist or trainer most experienced with those needs. This video follows an artist from first call to the center through seeing a physician and features some artist patient experiences and the CPAM doctors who work to keep Houston artists in peak performance.
