Ashish Saharia, MD, FACS

Dr. Ashish Saharia is a liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon with special interest in pancreatic surgery.

Dr. Saharia has extensive expertise and has published papers on pancreatic cancer, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma. He leads the hepatobiliary program at the Sherrie and Alan Conover Center.

Maen Abdelrahim, MD, PhD, B Pharm

Assistant Professor of Medicine in Oncology
Houston Methodist

Dr. Maen Abdelrahim is a gastrointestinal medical and transplant oncologist who takes care of patients with upper and lower GI tract malignancies in addition to pancreatic, liver, and bile duct cancers. Dr. Abdelrahim is also the medical director of Cockrell Center for Advanced Therapeutics, where he is leading a Phase I Program at Houston Methodist Hospital and Houston Methodist Cancer Center. He is a principal investigator on multiple early and late-phase clinical trials with focus on chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy in solid malignancies. Dr. Abdelrahim completed pharmacy training followed by PhD graduate work in pharmacology and toxicology. His research focused on developing new mechanism-based drugs for the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers.

Andrew Farach, MD

Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology
Houston Methodist

Dr. Andrew Farach has a special interest in hepatobiliary cancer and gastrointestinal cancer. Dr. Farach is active in ASTRO (American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology), ACR (American College of Radiology), and the Texas Radiological Society (TRS). Dr. Farach has published peer-reviewed articles on topics such as SBRT outcomes in lung cancer, radiation and immunotherapy for breast cancer, and liver regeneration after SBRT.
